I have a special interest in the field of Alternative Augmentative Communication -- using devices/pictures/visual supports to help individuals to communicate. I hope that as I learn, I can share information that will help others that are out there trying to navigate those murky waters.
I go to work everyday, and I honestly can say that I learn something new each time. Kids are amazing to work with -- even with the occasional boogers and tantrums! It has been an amazing journey so far as I learn about myself and all the intricacies of working as an SLP.
Speechie Speaking was born in 2011. With the craziness of life, updates were sparse. Attending the most recent ASHA Convention in Orlando, Florida, has reinvigorated my drive to share my journey online!
I hope to give others some good ideas, and to GET some good ideas in the process. Please feel free to email me any time with comments or questions: Kelsey@SpeechieSpeaking.com
Thanks for reading!
